My old co-worker called me about making an anniversary cake. I specialize in cupcakes because if I mess up I can just grab a new one and start over. It's not that easy with a cake. If I mess it up I have to start completely over.

So she wanted a round cake with mm fondant. I though about doing a 9 inch round, but went a bought 10 inch rounds instead. I think they look better. Especially on a 12 inch board. My cake turned out pretty good. Still learning to adjust for the change in weather.

The fondant was easy to put on and the decorations were simple. Not too bad for my first try.

We're Having A Baby

My friend's wife called the other day for an order of cupcakes. She wanted something with a baby theme for Saturday night. She called back later and mentioned they were for a baby announcement dinner. Woo Hoo! I love being a part of these special occasions. Sharing in my clients joys and sorrows. The celebrations and the solemn occasions.
