Mickey Mouse

My friend Kesa called me on Monday about cupcakes for Wednesday. I make all my cupcakes to order and  for special requests I usually like a minimum of 72 hours notice. But, because I love Kesa and because Logan is turning 2, I agreed.

We decided on Mickey Mouse theme.

 I was going to do a birthday cupcake, but Kesa wanted a smash cake. 

I'm still learning with the Smash Cakes. My red wasn't as bright as I would have liked, but I love my cake board using the fondant letters and icing to make the cake extra special! Next time I'll leave a little more room at the top to write Happy Birthday!

Pink Cheetah Theme

Transformer Cake

Recently my cousin asked me to create a Transformer Cake for her boys' birthdays. This is my 2nd attempt at making a cake. I wanted to do something 2D but wasn't quite sure what to do. 


I decided on Bumble Bee Transformer. I originally wanted to cut the entire cake into a shape, but I could not get my image large enough so I opted for putting the image on a smaller cut cake. I think I like the layered effect.

The outlining didn't take as long as I thought, however the filling in was a whole other story :) It took a good 2 hours just to fill in the design. I know she appreciates the effort. I wish I could have seen the boys faces on this one. Maybe she took a picture?
